As some of you may or may not know, I’m a huge Gran Turismo fan. I’ve been really excited about the prospect of this coming E3 2010 and I’m delighted that we’ve got to see a brilliant new trailer by Polyphony (which, in my opinion is their best as of yet) as well as THE release date (FINALLY)! We, GT fans, have been waiting for this to happen for so long now, it’s so damn rewarding :) I don’t necessarily know how you guys reacted to the new trailer but for me it was pure joy, tears of joys and jumping around in my room like a little kid at Christmas day. I think they hit the stride on what was captured in the trailer, the night racing, day and night real-time transitions, reverse lights and what not.
If you haven’t seen it yet, I strongly recommend you guys watch it:

Also make sure to visit the GTPlanet GT5 forums to keep up with the latest news and gameplay videos from the GT5 E3 2010 demo! :)
On another front, I’ll be attending Gamescom like I did last year and this time around I won’t be going alone and I’ll finally be able to use my digital camera as well as a tripod and you know what that means… I’ll be spending most of my time at the Sony/GT Booth to make sure to record as much footage of the GT5 build there as humanly possible!! :D
EDIT: I’ve done some quick wallpapers with some of the new assets released, enjoy!
Hello everyone.
I’ve moved away from my previous host (which let’s face it, was fucking crap). I’ve joined dreamhost now and couldn’t be happier. If you’re interested in the services they provide, go check them out. I’ve used one of their limited deal to get the first year of hosting for a ridiculous $9.23. Unlimited bandwidth and storage, built-in subversion… what more could I possibly want? A new website design that is!
I’m almost done with it (I’ve restarted it from scratch twice too, haha). I’m going to work with my friend Vincent to get some of the code part done since I’m more of a designer than a coder. It is going to be tons better than any previous efforts and will allow me to finally get motivated enough to post content regularly on this blog and show you sneak peeks of what I’m currently working on!
On that note, you guys take care.

Hey everyone, it’s been a little while. I just wanted to inform everyone on what’s happening behind the scenes these days and what you can expect from me and from the projects I’m working on in the future.
Right now I’m in the process of wrapping up all the last projects I have going on with ESEA. I’m also almost done redesigning this website as my blog and my portfolio website and I’ll be connecting both of them properly (about time, indeed).
On the projects front, I got quite a lot of things to dive into: CSPromod, albaGT5 PS3 theme overhaul update, GTPlanet WRS website design just to mention a few..
Speaking of CSPromod, if you’ve been following what’s happening lately, you might know that we’ve switched platform from the super buggy and annoying phpBB to vBulletin now. From the very start of the project, I always wanted to use vB but we had to go for a “free” platform hence the move on phpBB. The major downside is that now the whole theme Bio and I worked on is basically in the trash. I’m now in the process or designing a whole new forum theme from scratch to match vBulletin’s structure as well as the established look and feel of the CSP brand & website. I’ll post some work in progress screenshots and what not on here whenever I get some time to do so. I’ve also a new idea / miniwebsite that I’ve done a concept for that is aimed at streamlining the whole update process of CSP. Basically for the general user who doesn’t spend too much time digging or going through every bit of the forums to get new informations, you’ll be able to get it there. It’ll basically be the extension of the main frontpage except more tailored in the way twitter is. Short little updates from developers all gathered on a single page that is public that everyone can see and that is linked directly to the frontpage and the forums.
I guess that’s everything for now, got to get back to work and finish my two websites redesigns. Take care and see you guys around!

It’s been quite hectic the past few days, I must admit. We’ve had tons of work done behind the scenes to prepare for our launch and so far I must say the response was very positive compared to what we had to endure in the past. It’s really nice to see that now people take us seriously and don’t just diss us out right away and just go with the now famous “lol failmod.”
Obviously a lot of people are wondering what’s next for the mod and how future releases will be handled and if they voice will be heard and if they can do anything to help us. Well first, if you guys want to help us out the first thing to do is play with your friends, spread the word and get as much people as you can playing. Second, I’d say that if you know any of your friends or if you are yourself great in one particular area and you believe you could help the mod and help us move forward, I strongly suggest you apply for the team and see what happens. Nothing to loose, everything to gain and you can help us the future of competitive Counter-Strike. Drop us a mail here and let us know why we need you. Third, future releases will be distributed whenever we feel ready and are ready with our release. So you don’t have to worry, you won’t have to wait like two years for another update like some people seem to think. Updates will come, don’t worry about that.
One thing I’d like to point out: I’d like to thank everyone who’s been playing the game and posting a lot of constructive criticism and feedback in our bug report forum to help us fix all of our current bugs and problems, thumbs up for you guys!
I’ve always believed in this project and I’m happy to see that paid off. I know a lot of people right now have hopes for our game and that’s always been the case for me. I want to say it again. Thank you everyone for playing our game and I hope we’ll be able to keep you guys happy in the long run and have a lot of fun together just like old times.
alba out.
Hey everyone!
I know you’re probably wondering why I’m not posting much things over here in my blog and that’s a legitimate concern. I’ve been really busy the past couple of months with work, freelancing and the MOD work I’m doing for CSPromod. I’ve put my PS3 & PSP theme on hold until I got a bit more free time (not really a worry since Gran Turismo 5 comes out in March in Japan so that gives me a bit of a time frame on when I should make sure it gets done).
Alright so next up is a quick update of the things that I’ve been doing for CSPromod! I’ve been busy redoing lots of HUD to improve some of the icons and just make it better altogether. I’ve also redesigned the weapon selection to be something close to what 1.6 uses. The next part will be to make sure we come up with sounds that sound like 1.6 or close and make it a cvar so people can use the old shitty source deploy sound (Mack’s idea not mine :D).
The main thing I wanted to talk about was my involvement and idea to work on official aim maps for the mod. After seeing some of the community mapper had done or were working on I decided it’d be a nice idea to team up with some of them and work together under my guidance and have ted review each of the maps we’d complete together.
Right now we’ve completed CSP_aim_arena to a point where it’s in the hands of ted so he can changes and improve it overall to make sure it’s up to our internal standards. Here are some screenshots of the map so you can see what we’ve done…

On top of that, we’ve currently two other maps in progress. Check them out below.

That is right folks, you can now visit cspromod.com and browse the site properly without any fear of the stupid blue website to ever come back! Free at last.
You can use my temp background I did for it, I’m trying to have it done by October 1st… when the actual game releases!
You can grab it here! (Right click “Save as…” and put it on your memory stick or just grab it with the web browser. Enjoy ;-)
I posted it last week I believe on the GTPlanet forums but I’m reposting it just in case anybody missed it.
I should have some news and new pictures to post of both the next update of the GT5 PS3 theme and GT PSP one since they share the same base horizontal XMB icons (as seen in both the Gamescom build of GT5 and the final build of GT PSP).
If you have any ideas, feedback, questions… you know how to reach me.
So last Christmas I got myself a sweet sweet G25 wheel and It was cool and all but obviously the question is where do I put it, how do I use it properly and so on well… I built a cockpit myself last year for it and it was just way too bulky and took way too much space. As the release of GT5 is coming closer and closer, I decided it was time I invested a bit in a proper cockpit so I could put it aside if needed and make sure I’d get something that wouldn’t take too much space either.
So after a bit of thinking and looking around for a good deal, I went ahead and ordered myself a nice Playseat Evolution White with the G25 shifter holder and the playseat mat with it. So now I’m all set and got everything build up and working, I just have some cable management to do and adjustments with the pedals which are still bothering me a little with the wheel bar but I’ll find the right setting soon :D
Here are some pictures of it for the curious bunch:
Side 1 – Side 2
… Yep, sure seems like it.
Let me put things in perspective for you guys who might not know what the hell I’m talking about. I’ve had my PlayStation 3 since launch then I bought a Wii, then a PSP and finally a DSi and most people online believe I’m one of the biggest PS3 fanboy ever, especially the folks over at HLCCL. Thing is I wasn’t really interested in the xbox up until now. I still don’t give a rat ass about Gears of War so that fell short, I was just interested in checking out Halo 3 and have Forza 3 (when it comes out just for the livery editor thingy because I like to mess around with that shit and see what I can achieve with it).
Well either way, the thing that pushed me on the side was that I really wanted to complete my console collection and then have choice over any game that I’d be interested in whenever platform they’d come out on, like Shadow Complex is a great example, game looks awesome and it’s a live arcade title so, that’ll help now and I won’t have to wait for them to come to the PlayStation Network :)
I must admit I’m still worried about the Red Ring of Death thing and I hope I won’t have any problems with mine, I never had any problems with any of my console except one PlayStaton 1 that crapped on me back in the day but that’s it. I’ve been pretty blessed for that over the years. *Knock on wood*
Anyway, I know this is a bit off-topic but there it is. If you want to add me, my gamer tag is: alba7.
